Gusmitta & Pallante practices mainly in civil law, both in the judicial and extra judicial field, its main  areas of practice being real private international law , real estate and  litigation.

The Firm is a leader in the assistance to owners and managers of Shopping Centers and real estate portfolios, both in connection with the acquisition, development or  sale of properties and the day to day business, its services ranging from the due diligence to  the drafting of sale and purchase agreements and of tenancy contracts, to the assistance to clients in the choice of the managing system and structure of the Shopping Centre  and the drafting of the bylaws of the relevant entities and bodies, together with the management of judicial and extra judicial disputes.

Gusmitta & Pallante also advises several multi-national companies and their Italian subsidiaries in connection with all the aspects of the Private  International Law and of the Italian Civil Law.

The Firm also represents clients, most notably in civil law disputes, in court proceedings in all ordinary and special Italian jurisdiction and before the Italian High Courts.

Although all Firm’s members have a consolidated experience in civil law litigation and arbitration procedural issues, enabling them to assist clients in the most complex disputes, we consider assistance in the pre-litigation phase of utmost importance. In the pre-litigation phase the Firm’s task is to facilitate the client’s informed decision-making, based on a thorough evaluation of the costs and benefits of the litigation process as compared to possible out-of-court solution.

The Firm also advises clients in arbitration and other Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings, being most of its members certified mediators.

The Firm’s professionals are appointed to serve as arbitrators on Italian and International panels.
